SHAWN NATKO
PRODUCTION
From early days collecting every Who LP he could get his hands on, The Hypnotizer’s been gathering music physically, digitally, mentally and spiritually. Considering his dad was at Newport when Dylan plugged in, it’s clear he was preordained to chase magical musical moments. When the lights went down at Nassau Coliseum and YES hit the stage in his 12th year, he knew this was the start of a lifelong journey. These days — with his quintet in tow — the tour rolls on at shows and festivals from jam band to bluegrass. Whether curating playlists or launching start-ups, music is the foundation he’s built on. Now we come full circle. Music = Work + Family + Life.
JOSH BLETTERMAN
STRATEGY
Conceived in Woodstock and grew up jamming to Stevie, Elton and Coltrane in the back of his dad’s ride. By 13, he was popping Zep tapes into his Walkman and emulating Bonzo fills on his first Pearl Export kit. His HS band Dark Chocolate performed music and comedy at packed backyards before founding the jazz-funk quartet YARD with his brother at Rutgers. Upon graduation, JB built narrative strategies by day and gigged by night. Now, Global Vybz score the soundscape of a rich Hudson Valley existence committed to helping musicians, leaders and organizations build their external expressions on internal truth to manifest their most meaningful creations.
CHADWICK SHAO
CREATIVE
Moonwalking with MJ to rapping every verse of RUN DMC’s Raising Hell, Chadwick lived in rhythm and rebellion. The spark caught fire when he stepped into a friend’s dad’s half hot-rod temple, half rock shrine where a cherry red Gibson ES once played in Link Wray’s band leaned against the amps. He played in rock and electronic fusion bands, spun Drum & Bass at massive DC raves, and held down residencies at Eighteenth Street Lounge and its sister clubs — opening for legends like LTJ Bukem and Photek — and produced an EP with the bassist of They Might Be Giants. These days, he balances his time with design and late nite jam sessions with his kids.
MIXTAPES
Each time the Moon orbits the Earth, we’ll post an oozy playlist of transcendental tracks for your auditory delight.
